About The Home

In our main building we have 9 single and one twin room. Four on the second floor the remaining six on the ground floor. In all the bedrooms they have T.V , aerial points and a call system. All our rooms come furnished but we do encourage residents to furnish their rooms with their own furniture as this promotes personalization and the feeling of home. We have two comfortable lounges both with TV and radio.

We have an annexe where we can offer two independent living flats, these where designed for the mature person. We can offer all your meals where you can decide whether you want to eat in the flats or in the home the choice is yours, we make meals times a sociable and pleasurable time. One of the benefits of living in the flats is that you can keep your independence. With the flats only a short walk away from the home this means socialization is easy and very beneficial and reduces the risk of becoming isolated. Both flats come equipped with nurse call system with this to help you feel safe and secure. Staff are on the premises 24 hours every day so there is no need to think you are alone.

We have a seating area at the front of the home where the sun shines all day. At the back of the home we have a garden and if there are any green fingered residents they can potter in the green house.

The local vicar visits every 4 weeks for Holy Communion but if preferred residents can attend one of the village churches as Headcorn has Church of England, Baptist, Methodist and a Catholic church all with a short walking distance.

Headcorn village holds Eldercare club in the local village hall every Wednesday where they can go and have a lunch and enjoy various entertainment.

At Yew Tree we have a visiting hairdresser who comes every other Monday or residents can go to one of the 4 hairdressers located in the village. Age concern visits every 6 weeks for residents chiropody needs.

We cater for all dietary needs. All meals are cooked in the home and we specialize in traditional home cooking. We hear from our residents that they have really enjoyed their meal but we have given them too much. Residents can have their meal in one of the lounges or in their room, it’s their choice.

The home has an in house laundry service, so nothing leaves the premises.

The down stairs bathroom is equipped with a hoist, so all needs can be met for personal hygiene.The home holds a safe so residents can have their personal items or jewellery locked. We can arrange for the daily paper to be delivered to the home.

We have an open door policy, so families and friends can visit at any time
